donkey kong country - 8/10
this shit is bananas. b-a-n-a-n-a-s
frankly put this franchise back on the map after it was slowly waning in popularity in comparison to mario. bit frustrating at points, obviously, it's an older platformer, it'll always have some degree of that about it, but definitely makes up for it in gamefeel and that god-damn soundtrack, man. so good. lowkey better than mario world! i said it.
