otherwise known as: ash gets vindicated for their deep distrust of nintendo post-wii u
makes me happy that i own a steam deck and know how to set up dolphin to utterly mog this in around 30 minutes. the fact that anybody has tried to defend this is fucking laughable. the ui is ugly and sluggish, 64 is still in 4:3 and has really quite poorly redone hud textures, sunshine has no analog triggers available to it so most of the game is shot in the ass out the door, and the only semi-competent one is mario galaxy, which is predominantly just the nvidia shield version in practice. i am aware that, under the hood, it is some hodge-podge of native port and emulation working in tandem. i am likewise aware that it was datamined and discovered that the emulator part of that was clearly rushed and cobbled together in a worse state than dolphin builds even up to five years their senior. no galaxy 2 whatsoever, though, because that hadn't had a shield port to even look at as reference! need to wait another 5 years and cough up another $40 for that one, fucker.
just pure laziness. no love. and only made worse by the fact that you had to rush to have the privilege to experience worse versions of this game than you can sort yourself inside of an afternoon. just dont share your configs or any sort of launcher online or you'll be dmca'd to high hell. fuck you nintendo you money-hungry dickweeds
